Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Operations Manager in support of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. The GMD system provides 24/7 operationally defense to the homeland against long-range ballistic missile attacks. This position is located at Fort Greely, AK (~100 miles southeast of Fairbanks).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees operating the GMD Maintenance Manager (GMM) and GMD Human-Machine Interface (HMI) as well as performing customer support within the Alaska Operations Center (AOC).

• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

• 1+ years of experience working on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program

• 2+ years of experience in team or project leadership

• 3+ years of technical support experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

• Experience on the GMD missile field

• Experience working/living in remote military locations

• Engineering Degree
