Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is not a teleworking position.

This positions works in a cubicle environment.

This position is a Department of Health Emergency Responder.

 

This is a professional position located within the Bureau of Preparedness and Response, Administration Section, Procurement Unit.  The position will report directly to the Procurement Unit Manager and is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the Bureau and ESF8 using MFMP tools and/or a Purchasing Card, in accordance with State and DOH procurement policies and procedures. This position will work closely with Programs, Purchasing, and Finance and Accounting, and may work with FEMA, DEM, and contractors during ESF8 activations or on FEMA Recovery. This position is responsible for approving and clearing P-Card charges for the Bureau.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•           Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.

•           Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

•           Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.

•           Ability to conduct fact-finding research.

•           Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

•           Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

•           Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

•           Ability to communicate effectively.

•           Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

Qualifications:

 

Preferred - Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification is preferred, but not required.

 

Travel Time: 1-25%
