About the role

Description

Serve as a liaison between the prison system and case managers to provide reentry services to adults seeking vocational, educational or employment opportunities to incarcerated adults involved with the criminal justice system both pre and post release. Through development of individualized and customized employment plans, will assist individuals in overcoming barriers to success and prepare them to become qualified workers ready for employment.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct program orientations with incarcerated individuals, develop positive relationships, and conduct individual planning meetings to identify goals, barriers and plans for re-entry. 
  • Ensure clients understand Flying HIGH 's process and their employment plan after release 
  • Meet with client within 72 hours of their release
  • Effectively utilize financial support services to assist job seekers in overcoming barriers to employment.
  • Work in collaboration with other team members to support the needs of the client and assist with supportive services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in social work/criminal justice and work related experience with adult males involved within the criminal justice system

Knowledge of Ohio Risk Assessment System

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Valid Ohio Driver's license

Clean Civilian Background Check

Post offer drug and alcohol test will be completed
