JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Guided Study Group Program @ Penn State Learning (PSL) is seeking applicants for the part-time position Guided Study Group Leader Supervisor and Project Assistant.  

The position is part-time, 20 hours a week, for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters. The successful applicant must be willing to work three or more evenings during the week and on Sundays.  

Primary responsibilities include observing and providing constructive feedback to guided study group leaders; assisting with leader training and the development of resources that pertain to collaborative learning student engagement, study skills, problem-solving and other pedagogical and practical tools; and supporting the program manager with the implementation and analysis of research projects.  

Qualifications: Supervisory experience working with a supplemental instruction program; knowledge of and experience working with undergraduate students; understanding of the teaching and learning process, especially in a collaborative learning context.
