Senior Applications Engineer

This is a unique role that requires strong technical leadership, desire to work with people, and personal drive. Applications Engineers serve as trusted consultants who keep abreast of industry and technology trends. Successful Applications Engineers optimally balance time between customer and internal activities that demonstrate their knowledge of our products and customer applications. This Software Applications Engineer role focuses on text-based applications for top Aerospace/Defense customers.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Deliver sophisticated technical sales consulting to our customers.  
• Architect and implement technology demonstrator software. 
• Collect Voice of the Customer feedback.
• Flex time into R&D development (implement feedback).
• Project/program design wins and improvements. 
• Generate customer satisfaction through project lifecycle (system design, development and deployment).
•  Prioritize customer feedback delivered to product R&D team.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• A STEM-related bachelor's degree is required. 
• At least 5 years of text-based (C#/.NET and Python) software engineering experience is required.
• The work location for this position is Austin, Texas.
• Availability to travel up to 25% is needed.
• US Citizenship is required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-academic LabVIEW software engineering experience
• Test Engineering software development experience
• Experience in a customer facing role in either applications or customer technical support.
• Proficient in resolving software and hardware interoperability issues.
