We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 1B to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store on McKeesport Road in Elizabeth.

Examples of duties

This role focuses on leading store operations and ensuring strong performance in all areas. You will guide staff, maintain a top-quality environment, and help achieve key goals. As a General Manager 1-B, you will perform the following duties:

• Store Leadership: Lead daily operations to support excellent service and strong results
• Team Guidance: Motivate employees through coaching, direction, and feedback
• Sales Support: Promote sales by assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining organized displays
• Safety Oversight: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment for all
• Record Management: Handle cash procedures and ensure accurate documentation in every transaction
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow all laws, regulations, and company rules related to alcohol sales

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or 
• Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or 
• Two years of lead or supervisory retail sales work 

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: 

• You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
