Job Description

SCHEDULE

  • Full-Time
  • Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p

JOB SUMMARY

The Service Aide functions under the direct supervision of the director, office manager, and staff therapists and assistants.  The Service Aide is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, procurement and inventory of supplies, transporting patients, and in general assisting patients, therapists, and assistants in the successful completion of the treatment plan.  The Service Aide may also be assigned routine clerical support tasks to support the patient care process.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transports patients to/from Rehab.
  • Prepare patient for therapy treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
  • Communicates with patients, families, significant others and members of the health care team to promote maximum benefits from care.
  • Maintains hydrotherapy areas. Obtains equipment, materials, and supplies from storage or appropriate department and prepares them for use.
  • Maintains department in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Keeps schedule board up to date.
  • Maintains equipment cleaning/maintenance documentation.
  • Stocks linens.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent
