OnsiteThis position is for a Senior Software Tech in Cedar Rapids, IA. Work will be onsite. This position will be with the SWOPS team in Cabin Systems. This role will be responsible for building and testing of software. Also confer with Account Reps and Technicians on details and specifications to build and test software.
What You Will Do:
- Performs moderately complex technical tasks that contribute to the completion of production type software configurations.
- Identifies and documents exact sequence of activities that produce malfunctions; writes, modifies, debugs and verifies source code as required; characterizes defects (provides descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports).
- Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures.
- Assists with the training and mentorship of technicians.
- Demonstrates successful soft skills - communication, attitude, leadership, and professionalism.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
