Manager, Application Security

About the Role:

A key role reports to the Director of Product Security and spans the entire remittance product line and provides guidance and direction to numerous service teams who work to secure our customer's information. In this role you will partner closely with other Managers and Directors and their technical staff to provide them context on security risk and develop roadmaps and metrics to help manage that risk. You will leverage our culture of customer centricity to align efforts to deliver customer value with long term customer outcomes.

You Will:

• Engage with Managers, Directors and VP's across Remitly to establish quantifiable security risk management strategies for our products.
• Help develop roadmaps for service teams to continuously improve their application security posture.
• Reduce application security risks to our customers and ensure long-term customer peace-of-mind.
• Partner with our TPM's from Security to ensure smooth execution of the roadmaps you help put in place.

You Have:

• 5+ years of security experience with passion for Security Architecture or Application Security (Design Review + Penetration testing)
• 2+ years leading building/roll-out of security tooling for application security (SAST, DAST, etc.)
• 2+ years Managing an Application Security Team (Design Review or Penetration Testing or Security Automation Team)
• Strong alignment to our mission and values
• Proven approach to partnering with engineering and business teams to provide security context
• Strong grasp of risk management and an interest in risk quantifications
• Good project and program management skills - reporting, goverance, and driving results.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $ 187,500 -$ 225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
