Purpose of Job:•Hands on help for investigation of pathways for processing of metal powder.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
1.Metal powder processing and powder process design2.Special emphasis on powder filtration technologies3.Design and assembly of powder filtration apparatus4.Ability to safely handle and process fine metal powder5.Hands on with design, assembly, testing, and use of powder processing equipment6.Metal powder handling can be hazardous and requires extreme caution. Training will be provided.



Work Environment: Additive Manufacturing laboratory and Materials Laboratory- Laboratory environment, work is often performed wearing gloves, safety goggles, and chemically resistant PPE- Potential lifting of equipment and containers weighing up to 50 pounds - May be required to at times Wear hazardous material suit with self-contained breathing equipment

Requirements:
Education:Current college student (chemical, mechanical, materials engineering) with a 3.0 minimum GPA

Experience:Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation. Familiarity with CAD, and Excel
Skills:Experience and/or knowledgeable of 3D printing
Physical Demands:Ability to carry up to 50lbs, ability to wear self-contained breathing gear.
