What we want  

The Postdoctoral Research Associate, under general supervision, is responsible for conducting research into their field of expertise.  The Postdoctoral Research Associate will utilize the skills and expertise granted to them by their education and experience to complete research projects in their field of expertise. Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications. Assists with the preparation and cleaning of worksite. Initial studies will focus on burn wounds, improving healing, and assessing multiple wound factors using imaging and sensors.  This is a part-time position, working 19.5 hours per week.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Appropriate PhD in a related field

  • No experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Presentation skills

  • Analytical skills

  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work with large animal models

  • Experience with tissue culture and primary cell isolation

  • Knowledge of immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry

  • Experienced with animal models

  • Prior experience with wound healing research

Responsibilities

Research
