Pay: Firefighters - $15.98 Plus Overtime on Kelly Schedule roughly $53,000 per year / Emergency Medical Technicians- $20.68 

Schedule: Firefighters work-Kelly Schedule (24-hour rotating) , EMT 2nd and 3rd Shifts

Firefighter Requirements and Education: 

Education: High School Diploma or GED

• N.F.P.A. Firefighter 1 and 2 

• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Level certifications

•National Registry or State of Indiana Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification

•Out of state certifications must be transferable to Indiana and must be completed within 90 days of hire

•Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and local certification requirements for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) level certification.

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

1. Determines nature and countermeasures to problems encountered at the client’s facility.

2. Administers prescribed emergency care to persons injured or ill at the client’s facility.

3. Communicates with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.

4. Operates all equipment and vehicles required to accomplish the required tasks involved with this

position.
