Commercial Aerospace Project Engineer Team Lead

Job Description

Team Lead to assist with discipline manager duties and support a team of 8-12 direct reports.

• Organize daily delegation of job assignments, provide quotes and adjustments to SOWs
• Oversee and monitor progress for Statements of Work, and report status to SoW owners.
• SOW deliverable tracking
• On time SOW delivery
• Customer meetings to  review SOW requirements and scope of work
• Handle associate access requests (network, folder, asset, remote, etc)
• New hire onboarding
• Provide SOW author updates
• Provide metric tracking (team skills, deliverable tracking, work load, distribution of work, what module centers, SOW staffing levels)
• Work with SOW authors to address any quality issues or other SOW concerns
• Participate in and/or lead customer meetings
• Support direct discipline manager and business unit manager as needed
• Introduce cost savings proposals and collaborate on initiatives regarding Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE)

• Annual Performance Reviews

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience working with Pratt and Whitney Aerospace
• Microsoft office
• Teamcenter experience
• Reading technical prints
• P&W ESW Application
• Technical writing and documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration
• A working-knowledge of gas turbine engine operating theory
