The Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air, MD is hiring a full- time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team in Emergency & Critical Care.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, with at minimum 1 year experience working in an ER practice. (or 2 years' experience in GP).
- New graduates are highly encouraged to apply!
- High school or GED required.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in veterinary applied science is preferred.
- Must be reliable, have a good work ethic, strong communication skills, be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude, and be a team player.

- Self-motivated with a passion for veterinary medicine
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast- paced environment.
- Ability to work as a team and help different departments when needed.
- A strong skillset in restraint, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, client communications, and medical record keeping.
- Ensure that medicine is delivered in compliance with national, state, and local regulations.
- Demonstrate leadership that fosters a culture of learning and continuous development within the technician/nursing care team.
- Obtaining and reporting vitals- recognize critical changes, prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks if needed.
- Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit
- Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, CRI's
- Place IV catheters and prepare IV fluids.
- Utilizing different imaging modalities (radiographs, ultrasound)
- Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
- Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic patients
- Advise owners, prepare medications, and discharge patients.
- Full- time and part- time opportunities.
