The Opportunity:

 

This is a unique opportunity to join our EMEA eCommerce community as an AWS Solution Architect, collaborating closely with a highly effective Digital Marketing team on the creation of cutting-edge technical solutions that drive our business, team, and personal success. 

As a member of our EMEA IT Customer Facing Team, you will play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert, using your deep technical, consultative, and influencing skills to engage with internal & external business counterparts. Your insights and innovative solutions will directly impact our business's current and future IT technology initiatives. 

As a Goodyear AWS Solution Architect, you will lead developers in creating cloud solutions, including API and microservice developments. You will contribute to the medium—and long-term architecture in collaboration with the Technical Architecture team to support the IT Business Strategy.
 
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Have complete ownership of the business and technology delivery including:
  • Demand analysis and assessment of business processes and the system landscape
  • Drafting, designing, planning, optimization of our E-Commerce system and the respective integration 
  • Design new or incrementally improve existing applications 
  • Leading, in a hands-on mentality, a team of developers in the technical implementation of eCommerce processes using microservice and API
  • Identification of dependencies between system, infrastructure, and projects towards competing demands
  • Strategic selection of new technologies according to the business architecture
• Actively provide transfer of knowledge on current/future technologies, as well as conducting cost/benefit analysis of tools through evaluation of future IT solutions to determine best-balanced and integrated solutions
• Review the state-of-the-art awareness of information technology strategies by attending technical sessions, extensive research, and developing a network of industry contacts
• Conduct demand and feasibility analysis and implement proof-of-concepts 
• Be able to technically guide extended teams during the development and deployment of the solutions

 

Your Profile:

• University degree or similar qualifications with relevant work experience (preferably in IT, Ecommerce, Digital Marketing e.g.)
• Experience in developing Amazon Web Services microservice architectures preferably based on AWS Lambda’s and API Gateway
• Professional experience in aforementioned tasks is preferred as well as experience in documentation and development of acceptance criteria and demand analysis
• Profound skills in modeling of distributed software architecture (methods, design pattern, visualization, and documentation
• Deeper knowledge of agile software development and project life cycles
• Experience with one of the following technologies would be a plus: Headless eCommerce, SAP commerce (SAP Hybris commerce), Adobe Experience Manage
