About the role

Key responsibilities

The Lead is responsible for assisting supervision with overseeing the day-to-day team members to focus on safe, quality minded, efficient operations of the department.

 

Position Responsibilities

•Coordinates the outputs for the Sanitation department and assists in maximizing efficiencies. Acts as a resource

to other sanitation employees regarding sanitation type questions.

•Perform weekly MSS work order job tasks, by knowledge of MVP plant computer based program. Learn the

system and be able to support this function.

•Assist in weekly documentation of sanitation cleaning list to ensure effectiveness and completion.

•Inform supervision/management of deviations in performance such as unplanned downtime, unplanned

sanitation issues, employee injuries, safety issues, employee performance-related issues, potentially dangerous situations, and all other circumstances that are out of optimal sanitation parameters.

•Must be willing to train members on their team as well as provide feedback on performance.

•Responsible for completion of all required job-related documentation ensuring all required paperwork is

completely thoroughly and accurately.

•Act as liaison to troubleshoot issues with team members and department supervisor.

•Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards.

•Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements.

•Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

•Demonstrated knowledge of operations

•Ability/willingness to learn quickly

•Proven leadership abilities including strong employee engagement skills

•Ability to handle multiple demands and balance priorities

•Great attendance – expected be at work every day and on time. Overtime as required and flexibility to work other shifts as needed.

•Demonstrated ability to interact well in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
