Pay: The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Director of Security is charged with overseeing the organization’s security and daily security operations. This includes managing both internal security personnel, contracted security professionals on behalf of the organization, and executive protection.

 

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong management and communication skills. The Senior Director of Security collaborates both internally and externally, working with confidentiality to ensure the security of the organization and to mitigate risks. This includes performing threat assessments, making arrangements for additional security when needed, and providing and/or arranging for executive protection as needed. These efforts encompass technical, emotional, and cyber intelligence surveillance.

 

The Senior Director of Security is responsible for proactively engaging with, and developing relationships across, various levels of law enforcement and surveillance entities, both within the affiliate and, as needed, beyond. This engagement is essential to executing the organization’s broader, strategic security vision.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as criminal justice, security management, computer science, or information technology.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, military service, or a related field, with a proven track record in a leadership role or progressive advancement.
• Experience establishing relationships and working with multiple departments, stakeholders, and agencies.
• Knowledge of public safety and security rules and protocols
• Ability to anticipate and respond quickly to immediate threats
• Physical strength and conditioning to protect client
• Excellent observation skills
• Understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Professional certifications are highly desirable and can include, but is not limited to:
