A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Sr. Scrum Masters at Tandem facilitate and support agile practices being followed by Software Engineering teams that design, develop, perform formal validations, and deploy pump and mobile software features at Tandem. This includes facilitation of scrum ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement and providing visibility to the team's progress and performance and being part of driving growth and team maturity at the organizational level.

Sr. Scrum Masters at Tandem also:

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure that all ceremonies are conducted effectively and efficiently.
  • Support Product Owners: Assist Product Owners in maintaining and refining the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization of user stories.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and remove obstacles that impede the team’s progress. Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Promote Agile Practices: Educate and guide the team on Agile principles and practices. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and adaptive planning.
  • Track and Report Progress: Monitor team performance through metrics and dashboards. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and accomplishments.
  • Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Guide teams to self-organize and promote outcome based and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders. Ensure that there is clear and open communication at all levels.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Encourage and implement feedback loops to improve team processes and product quality. Identify areas for improvement and facilitate change.
  • Ensure Quality Deliverables: Work closely with QA to ensure that high-quality products are delivered. Support the team in adhering to Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, understands organizational needs that are unique to the company.
  • Collaborate with fellow Scrum Masters amongst multiple areas of the product and drive alignment in agile processes at the organizational level 
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences or related field or equivalent combination of
    education and applicable job experience preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification from a credible source
  • 6 plus years of experience in a software development environment
  • Experience successfully leading teams to deliver large-scale projects using agile frameworks (such as Scaled Agile Framework or Large-Scale Scrum is a big plus)
