The University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Quality Reporting and Analytics with Bascom Palmer Eye Institute supporting the Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) in both Naples and Palm Beach Gardens facilities.
The Senior Manager, Quality Reporting and Analytics manages the outcome measure reporting and analytics for Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) quality metrics. The incumbent in this position will be accountable for the preparation, management, and presentation of various governmental program requirements, and focus on meaningful information in order to make the best decisions and recommendations as it pertains to quality performance and management.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Evaluates, analyzes and communicates with appropriate key stakeholders, their quality performance, at facility, departmental, divisional and provider level.
Creates models quantifying historic performance and future projections.
Investigates variances between expected outcomes and real-time outcomes.
Recommends measures and methodologies to enhance net revenue or increase administrative efficacy, e.g., best fit of measure selection with individual departments.
Provides support in transforming business intelligence into action plans and providing strategic recommendations for improvements.
Maintains familiarity with the clinical, operational, and patient flow considerations in hospitals and outpatient clinics which impact these measures, to stay current on industry trends in quality and outcome measures and maintain clear understanding of software and databases operated within the UHealth System, as they relate to quality health data reporting.
Manages day-to-day operations of all performance analytics for governmental programs, such as Physician Quality Payment Program (MIPS) and PCHQR.
Monitors governmental program changes to ensure timely and accurate completion of required submissions to various agencies, including overseeing the CMS portal submission.
Pulls data and prepares audit response prior to submission to third party; and positively collaborate with UMIT and HII.
Provides departments with recommended process improvements as it pertains to quality & safety metrics and provider/department performance.
Leads the development and interdepartmental collaboration of quality and outcome reports for UHealth’s inpatient and outpatient clinical activities, and performance outcomes.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors:
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of business and management principles
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
