About the job

Configure Red Hat software products in combination to create an OpenStack environment for the Red Hat Learning Platform team. Design and deploy the infrastructure to support the OpenStack environment, including IdM, Satellite, Ansible, Ceph, Object Storage, Guacamole.

What you will do

Coordinate with other internal and external teams to gather and provide features for the online lab environment.

Evaluate and recommend software and hardware updates for the environment.

Provide a level-3 support by helping to diagnose and fix issues with the environment.

Deploy environments and help the Cloud Architects architect and design these environments.

Design, deploy and maintain automation scripts using bash or Ansible.

Design, deploy and maintain networks in the cloud environment, making recommendations for current and future projects, and diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing issues with internal and external networks.

Analyze consumer utilization and provide recommended upgrades and expansion needed to meet projected targets.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and address issues in the environment using feedback from the support teams.

 

The salary range for this position is $125,760 - $207,530. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will bring

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

Must have seven (7) years of experience with: designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Identity Manager (IdM), MultiMaster replication and integrating with other solutions for Identity as a service; designing, deploying and maintaining VM’s with RHV; troubleshooting and addressing issues with the RHV cluster and recommending and enforcing best practices for users using the RHV cluster; customizing deployments using Ansible or bash scripts in medium to large environments; designing, deploying and maintaining automation scripts using bash or Ansible; and designing, deploying and maintaining networks in virtual, cloud and physical environments.

Must have six (6) years of experience with: designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat Ceph Storage in a medium to large environment and diagnosing and addressing issues with the Ceph Clusters and its interconnected pieces; designing, deploying and maintaining RHOSP using Director in medium to large environment; core OpenStack services; and OpenStack backup and recovery procedures.

Must have five (5) years of experience with: configuring CEPH storage mirroring and replication between clusters and regions; designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) in a medium to large environment; designing, deploying and maintaining OCP on the Red Hat OpenStack Platform Cloud, customizing the deployments using Ansible or bash scripts and diagnosing, troubleshooting, and addressing issues with the OCP environment; designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting VyOS and Vyatta in a medium to large, load-based environment; deploying and fixing issues with the networking layer between VyOS, OpenStack, and the external network, using multicast, VRRP, HA, IPSec VPN, routing, and other features of VyOS; and analyzing consumer utilization and providing recommended upgrades and expansion needed to meet projected targets.

Must have three (3) years of experience designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Guacamole for VNC connections in a medium to large, distributed and load balanced environment.

Domestic and international travel required up to 10% of the time to conferences and client sites. Travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
