Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Nuclear Medical Technologist for Rockville MD who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Nuclear Medical Technologist you will:
• Consistently produces high quality NM and/or PET images using knowledge of NM education, IV skills, computer processing and image enhancement. Prepares and administers medications and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established procedure. Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Demonstrates proficiency in operating gamma cameras, SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT machines, uptake probes, well counters, dose calibrators, survey meters and all ancillary equipment within Nuclear Medicine department. Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems within Nuclear Medicine and Imaging Services pertinent to Nuclear Medicine (RIS, PACS, NMIS, image reformatting)
• Perform Hot Lab functions including the acceptance, maintenance and documentation of radiopharmaceuticals. Understands principles of radiation safety.
• Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in Nuclear Medicine. Performs periodic QA checks as required by state and federal law.
• Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume.
• Work with the Director, Manager and Radiologist to develop policies, procedures and protocols including dose reduction activities.
• Maintain written protocols for each site and ensures that the protocols in the systems are consistent with the written protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, image quality checks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
• High school or GED
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
• 2 years Nuclear Medicine Technology experience preferred; CT experience preferred
• State of Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license, ARRT (N)(CT) or NMTCB (CNMT), CPR

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Pay Range:

$34.58 - $51.87

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Non-Exempt)
