Job Description:

   

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to own the Delivery Early Engagement process and the deal governance function for pre-Sales activities on a global scale. The Professional Service Delivery , WW Deal Governance and Delivery Early Engagement Director leads the Delivery Solution Architect and PM communities, ensures cross-regional awareness and enablement, and represents Delivery in deal approvals and governance across all Business Units. The right candidate will safeguard the quality and viability of new deals and ensure end-to-end solution completeness from pre-Sales through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Delivery Early Engagement process to support pre-Sales activities on a worldwide basis.

  • Own and guide the Lead Delivery Solution Architect capability and function, ensuring best practices, standards, and professional growth.

  • Lead the Customer Program and Project Management capability and function, promoting consistent delivery methods and governance.

  • Ensure all Delivery regional, geographic, and country teams are aware of, compliant with, and enabled for pre-Sales engagement activities.

  • Serve as the Delivery lead and representative for deal approval processes and governance across all Business Units.

  • Collaborate with Professional Services organizational structure to align with strategic objectives and ensure deal viability and quality.

  • Guarantee Delivery representation and early engagement in solutioning discussions to influence outcomes positively.

  • Oversee and provide governance for the Solution Architect and the Project Management (PM) function.

  • Provide WW Delivery perspective on deals and ensure compliance with BU-defined Deal Governance processes.

  • Drive continuous improvement in deal governance, delivery readiness, and pre-Sales to Delivery handoffs.

Education and Experience Required:

  • University degree required; Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) preferred.

  • 5+ years of people management or leadership experience.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in delivery, pre-Sales engagement, solution architecture, program/project management, and/or professional services governance.

  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing global programs, and ensuring adherence to governance processes.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

  • Deep understanding of pre-Sales processes, deal governance, and end-to-end delivery cycles.

  • Expertise in Solution Architecture and PM best practices.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration across regions.

  • Ability to operate in a matrix organization and influence without direct authority.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess deal viability and risk.

  • Change management and continuous improvement mindset.

Travel:

  • Travel requirements may be up to a moderate percentage depending on regional needs and business cycles.

  • Open to applicants in Europe with proximity to an HPE site.
