Part Time Career Center Event Assistant (Student Wage)

The UVA Career Center engages and supports students in the discovery and pursuit of meaningful lives.   

Our main office is located in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium, Room 236 (2nd floor). We are on the UTS bus route and have short-term metered parking for visitors. We have 6 positions to fill for this role. We anticipate 25-40 total hours worked per student over the fall semester, consisting primarily of on-site support for 5-6 career events.

Employment Start/End Dates: Fall 2025 with possibility of renewal for Spring 2025/Fall 2026.  

Starting early to mid-August 2025. 

Hourly Pay: $14.00  

Qualifications:  

• Be eligible for undergraduate student employment. (Note: Preference will be given to federal work-study candidates.

• Must be able to work an average of 25-40 hours per semester, to include both daytime and evening hours. (Note: We anticipate 25-30 actual hours worker per student) 

• General knowledge of event logistics, ability to provide exceptional customer service, basic understanding of technology, ability to keep accurate account of event activities.   

• Enthusiasm for event support and helping students.   

• Commitment to the mission of the UVA Career Center.  

• Excellent customer service skills and professional work habits   

• Ability to communicate and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders   

• Ability to work independently and take initiative
