BU Trading is responsible for all trading activities around Vattenfall´s asset and customer flows to maximize value creation and improve sourcing costs. It provides market access services for the Vattenfall Group - which means managing all hedging flows, from generation assets or customers, by Market Access. You are the key contact person for our internal and external customers. As a member of the 24/7 team you are mainly our trader on the intraday markets and exchanges, but to some extent as well beyond that. You are an integral part of bringing our assets and customers to the market as well as developing our proprietary trading strategies. We permanently develop and adapt our processes to changes in the market, securing and maximizing value in the Vattenfall Group as well as the Vattenfall Energy Trading value chain. Our ambition is to be the benchmark of the industry.</p><p><strong>Your key responsibilities will be</strong></p><ul><li>Keeping track of the relevant markets and market developments</li><li>Providing an excellent market access and service to our internal and external customers</li><li>Developing and successfully executing intraday trading strategies</li><li>Continuously improving our quality, speed and efficiency</li><li>Fostering advanced cooperation internally and externally</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Your Profile</strong></p><ul><li>University degree (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Economics etc.)</li><li>Ideally more than 2 years of trading experience in a comparable role and with a strong track record</li><li>In-depth knowledge of the Intraday markets, ideally on power</li><li>Strong commercial mindset in combination with very good analytical skills</li><li>Ability to leverage market knowledge into profitable trading strategies</li><li>High willingness of decision making on own analysis</li><li>Excellent communication skills and good knowledge of English spoken and written, while German and other language skills are advantageous, but not a condition</li><li>Reliable team player who is proactively supporting the team approach</li><li>Resilience and determination to win it every day</li><li>Eagerness to learn and grow in a trading organization, that offers excellent career development opportunities</li><li>Programming skills and knowledge about algorithmic trading would be an asset</li></ul><p>At Vattenfall we are convinced that diversity contributes to build a more profitable and attractive company and we strive to be good role model regarding diversity.
