The objective of this role is to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives by driving revenue growth, pursuing new business opportunities with our customers, building a competitive landscape for our automated solutions, and leading and motivating our sales team.
Körber's Supply Chain Special Industries team develops future-proof concepts to develop automation solutions for the next generation of battery and pharmaceutical gigafactories with high-tech products.
Your role in our team
- You will establish and expand our supply chain automation business in the pharmaceutical industry – work together with the Special Industries team and the global key account managers and regions of the pharmaceutical machinery and software business and realize logistics projects for our pharmaceutical customers.
- You will drive revenue for growth by identifying current customer needs and pursuing new business opportunities, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.
- You will develop, drive, and implement solutions such as ASRS machinery, Layer Picker, and AMRs, as well as third-party-supplied machinery like package conveyors, stretch wrappers, print-apply, and more.
- You will promote and drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing business opportunities for Körber products, such as AGVs, 3D pallet shuttles, and case-handling solutions.
- You will be responsible for team leadership, supporting and coaching the sales team to achieve goals. Provide coaching and training and identify development opportunities to excel in team performance.
- You will build, maintain, and create strong relationships with current, key, and new customers, understanding their needs and ensuring 100% satisfaction.
- You will collaborate with other departments or suppliers, including marketing, engineering, and projects, to ensure the correct configuration and pricing of services provided.
- You will partner with sales managers and technical project planning teams to develop pharma-specific logistics solutions (intralogistics, warehouses) and win customer orders.
- You will be responsible for sales reports and forecasting to present to Senior Leaders.
- You will prospect for new business using several in-house software lead generation apps.
- You will develop ROM pricing and designs on your own.
- You will assess and support the qualification of innovative solution concepts and products, such as AMRs/AGVs, and develop a differentiating value proposition.
- You will build up Special Industries Account Management and understand the pain points and strategic agendas of customers to position Körber as a strategic partner.
- You will work closely with the global regions to hand over the projects cleanly from the moment we receive the order.
Your profile
- You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- You have a proven track record of at least 10 years of complex sales solutions in the pharmaceutical industry and/or in the field of intralogistics, warehouse automation, or material handling required
- You have gained a minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience, with high-performance development experience desired.
- You can travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
- You have a proven record of developing industry-specific strategies.
- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
- Business acumen, sales affinity, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- You have working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD.
- You have proven mechanical and controls engineering skills.
