  • Execute annual workplan developed with specific goals, deliverables, and outputs.

  • Provide expertise and advice to researchers, staff and partners across the BHI network with respect to best practice in PE and KMb and the development of funding programs to support PE and KMb activities.

  • Co-develop and modify existing PE and KMb resources and materials including training, templates, modules, and other resources with patient partners and end users to support the BHI research community.

  • Participate in the writing of annual and final reports summarizing PE and KMb activities to program funders and the BHI community including patients and the public.

What you will bring:

  • A University degree in a health-related discipline, with a preference for candidates with a post-graduate degree.

  • Three years of professional experience related to PE, KMb, communications, program coordination and/or program evaluation.

  • Solid understanding of PE and KMb theory and/or practice.

  • Ability to communicate with, build rapport and relationships, and meaningfully engage with knowledge users and BHI community members.

  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to schedule and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to develop agendas, background materials, and minutes for meetings, workshops, and conferences.

  • Professional training or certification in patient engagement, knowledge mobilization, project management or program evaluation is considered an asset to this role.

  • Lived experience (e.g., with heart and/or brain condition(s)) and equity-seeking communities is considered an asset to this role.

  • Prior experience working to support and/or implement programs with Indigenous communities is considered an asset to this role.

  • Superior research and writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to digest complex concepts, examine and incorporate diverse perspectives, and summarize key insights effectively for a range of target audiences.

  • Ability to prepare effective presentations, and to develop and tailor communications products and key messages for specific target audiences.
