Description

The School of Nursing & Health Studies at the University of Washington Bothell (UWB) is hiring up to three full-time faculty (100% FTE), at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor (non-tenure track) with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2025. These positions will have a 5-year appointment term with a 9-month service period with additional opportunities to teach during the summer. Positions in this title are state-funded, and are promotion eligible (Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, and Teaching Professor). Appointments in these positions are renewable, with re-appointment reviews every 5 years. Job duties for these positions include 1) an expectation of teaching seven courses over three quarters during the regular academic year, 2) an expectation to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, 3) providing excellent teaching to support and enhance learning for diverse populations, and 4) bridging theory and practice of healthcare and systems, social justice, public health, and applied practice. The candidates in these positions will use lecture modalities and active learning teaching techniques or will have the willingness to learn teaching modalities that ensure the best results. The sucessful applicants for these positions will be expected to support  the UW Bothell mission and SNHS core values, including the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion; access to excellence; care and respect; action-oriented social change; and social justice.  All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

The base salary range for this position will be $9000 - $9200 per month (9-month position), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
