You’ll join a 60+ person UX organization consisting of kind and talented product designers, content designers, and UX developers.
About this role:
We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to join the Insurance Professional Servicing team within the USRM Servicing domain. This role will support the modernization of our service tools and experiences used by service reps and independent agents to service our customers.
As a UX Lead, you will support a team of UX product designers and content strategists in delivering user-centered design solutions to create best-in-class digital tools for power users aimed at increasing rep efficiency, improving satisfaction, and reducing expenses and technology costs. You'll experience a high degree of autonomy as you set the team’s standards of communication, quality, and process.
You will work with business, engineering, and product owner partners to understand the business vision and objectives and collaborate daily to deliver design solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. You’ll also benefit from the support of our broader UX community, where you can exchange ideas and learn from other design, content, and research practitioners.
In this role you will:
- Leverage strong executive skills to navigate stakeholder needs and relationships, continually increasing trust and partnership.
- Set the standard for proactive collaboration, effective communication and feedback, and quality UX practice for the rest of the team.
- Elevate the team’s design craft, use of UX best practices, and application of user-centric thinking to make design decisions.
- Drive quality and consistency of design deliverables across the team and ensure all design efforts contribute to a cohesive user experience across ecosystem.
- Work in an agile environment. You will partner closely with product owners, product designers, and engineers, as well as content designers, marketers, analysts, and researchers.
- Dig deep into user problems. You’ll be tasked with understanding complex product requirements and untangling interaction design problems to find the best solutions to help users complete their tasks.
- Continuously seek and integrate user feedback. You will help identify user research needs and participate in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing to evaluate UX effectiveness and determine where and how to optimize the experience.
- Coordinate across multiple projects and workstreams. You’ll learn a complex product ecosystem and collaborate with other teams to ensure a seamless experience for the user.
Qualifications
- As typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of experience in a related field:Experience using methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Lean Startup
- Familiarity with the following core disciplines, with demonstrated expertise in at least two and proficiency in two others: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment design
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of the company
- Proven ability to present projects and status reports to senior management
- Strong organization and analytic thinking skills, with ability to translate complex content int
