Job Description

The Intern - Operations Support position, provides overall support to the Operations team.

Duties include:

• Opening sample boxes and organizing samples for labeling and entry into the laboratory database.
• Washing and preparing glassware for sample extraction and media preparation.
• Cutting and disposing of used boxes.
• Assisting with packing canisters and other media types for shipment.
• Assisting in organizing unused returned media.
• Data entry as assigned.
• Updating customer database with correct client information.
• Filing and organizing information as needed.
• Scanning and copying files as assigned.
• Evaluating and restocking office supply inventory.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use dexterity and coordination using hands to finger, handle of feel objects, view a monitor, reach with hands and arms; and stoop and kneel. Hearing and speaking are needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and move from place to place within the facilities. The employee is occasionally required to push handcarts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds and lift up to 15 pounds. Lifting of objects in excess of 15 pounds will require authorized personnel or team lifting. The employee is also required to reach items above and below standard desk or table level.

Additional Information

Compensation: $16 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Position is part-time day shift with possible overtime and weekends.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
