Vericast offers a year-round TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED, BRIGHT, CLEAN manufacturing printing team-based environment.

Job Summary

The Digital Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production and timely shipment of goods within our manufacturing operations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of production processes, equipment capabilities, and quality and delivery expectations. The coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and monitoring production workflows, managing rush orders, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless operations. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Schedule and Monitor Production Workflow: Ensure priority work is released on time, collaborate with Priority One Managers for new client setups and conversions, and work with Special Project Coordinators on plant projects. 30%
  • Track and Facilitate Orders: Manage detailed tracking of orders, including the not shipped report and tracking lost orders. 25%
  • Manage Rush Orders: Oversee the rush order process to ensure timely processing. 20%
  • Correct and Re-enter Problem Orders: Address and re-enter problem orders and send question orders to the Question Order Center as needed. 15%
  • Produce Samples and Test Runs: Create samples and test runs as required; enter training runs. 5%
  • Other duties as assigned: to include, but not limited to, data entry and site-specific tasks. 5%

Qualifications

Education

 

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Ability to make workflow decisions and handle on-time processing of rush orders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve production goals.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and at a rapid pace.
  • Capability to analyze production data and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools and techniques to optimize production timelines.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in production schedules and quality standards.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage production workflows, track orders, and handle rush orders efficiently.
  • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage rush orders effectively.
  • Understanding of quality assurance practices and how they apply to production.

Experience

  • Managing detailed tracking of orders, including handling rush orders and addressing problem orders.
  • Experience in scheduling and monitoring production workflows, ensuring timely release of priority work, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or production coordination is essential.

Decision Making

  • Responsible for workflow decisions and decisions related to the on-time processing of rush orders.

Communication and Contacts

  • Regularly communicates with all levels of Plant personnel both verbally and in written form.

Physical Requirements

  • Include bending, walking, standing and kneeling 8-10 hours a day and lifting up to 20 lbs+ on occasion.

Additional Information

Hourly Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 DOE plus $1.75 hourly shift differential

Hours: Monday - Friday 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM
