TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

 

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director for TE Medical BU, the Sr Manager, Global Supply Chain (Components) position is responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, planning of production materials, inventory control and logistics operations to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Leading multiple supply chain teams at the Components Medical sites (Site Locations: Minneapolis, Galway Ireland, Heredia Costa Rica and Medway, MA), they ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. Identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of the supply chain. Focuses on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the improvement of key performance metrics. The person will demonstrate a high level of decision-making skills, ability to lead teams and will have the ability to work autonomously and exceed in cross functional collaboration. Position is Remote with travel.

 

Responsibilities

•    Lead supply planning activities at Component Sites through SIOP process and drive decision-making process to resolve critical issues for workstream.
•    Manage End to End inventory performance and the identification of revenue risks / opportunities, supporting the decision-making process for potential trade-offs.
•    Monitor supply chain performance KPI’s at site level and actively manage S&OE meetings to drive problem solving and performance improvements.
•    Create and drive alignment of build plans partnering with Demand team on unconstrained vs constrained plans.
•    Develop and execute long-term capacity plans aligned with global demand while ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
•    Develop and maintain policies and procedures for stocking strategies and lead time strategies.
•    Being a focal point to front end business team on status of supply status, assurance of supplies, escalations, and critical allocation management working closely with cross function stakeholders including Customer Care teams, Demand Planning Teams, Sales & Product Manage and Finance.
 

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of Supply Chain / Materials Planning experience or equivalent business degree, including 3+ years in a leadership role or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
•    Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling/data analysis preferred.
•    Experience in supply chain planning processes, SIOP /IBP.
•    Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence key stakeholders in a global and matrix organization and environment.
•    Working knowledge of SAP/Epicor, other planning systems
•    Excellent leadership, influencing, interpersonal and team building skills. 
•    Medical device knowledge/experience preferred.
