THE ROLE:
The Senior Financial Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting forward-looking financial and business operational projects. This role is responsible for financial analysis preparation, coordination, and documentation, as well as the creation, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines and processes. The Senior Financial Operations Analyst will own financial forecasting and account reconciliation, assist with database administration, and provide analysis on trends in sales, finance, and business conditions. This role works on projects of intermediate complexity with support from the Finance Director and Manager, while also providing guidance to other team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and implement the company's budgeting and forecasting processes, evaluating financial performance by comparing actual results with forecasts.
- Assist with acquisition diligence and integrations, supporting the acquisition team with data validation, integrity, and post-acquisition reporting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high-level customer service.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the brands worked on, including services rendered, operational processes, KPIs, and trends.
- Contribute to the development of budgeting, segment reporting, budget vs. actual analysis, account reconciliations, database administration, and BI visualization tools.
- Play a key role in the month-end close process, identifying efficiencies to improve financial reporting.
- Own the creation, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data flow for reporting.
This is a hybrid position, coming into the El Segundo office 3x per week.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial operations or related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a similar discipline.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to learn and grow within the industry.
- Professional, reliable, well-organized, and self-motivated.
Skills
- Proficient in Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, research, and resolution skills.
