Job Description:  In this role you will be responsible for production and distribution of high-pressure steam for operation and facility needs.  In addition, mechanical/electrical repairs of production equipment as needed.

Responsibilities/The Impact You Will Make in this Role:

As a Maintenance Boiler Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Operating and troubleshooting Boiler equipment and recommending changes for continuous improvement. 

• Assisting with meeting site energy reduction goals. 

• Maintaining site water treatment equipment. 

• Assist with Pressure vessel inspection program.
• Perform planned or emergency maintenance on production equipment

Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)

• Minnesota First Class B boilers license

• Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs and willingness to work overtime on short notice.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Solid understanding of Utilities operations and systems 

• Water chemistry knowledge 

• Experience performing mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Experience with PLCs

The starting rate of pay for this position is $35.12/hr., with the potential to reach $36.65/hr. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
