Production Powder Coater - Swing Shift

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:  

Process incoming wheels for powder-coating and return finished product to stores.  Role requires operating machinery and maintaining accurate record keeping manually and via computer data-entry.

Pay: $21.63/hr + Quarterly bonus pay!

Swing Shift: Tuesday-Friday 3:00pm - 1:30am

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply powder using industry standards and following safety guidelines: 

• Process wheels thru powder oven monitoring temperature and powder thickness Maintain logs for quality control 

• Inspect, separate, palletize, and shrink-wrap wheels for return to stores 

• Write up wheels on shipment sheets 

Bead blast wheels and inspect each wheel for cracks or bent flanges: 

• Use accuride gauge to determine if wheel is within acceptable limits for safe return to service 

• Write up any rejects for return to store and log all wheels onto data sheets 

Perform daily shipments of wheels in trailers and process paperwork as required. Perform daily clean-up of work area prepare work area for next shift 

Inspect and separate wheel shipments from stores daily and prioritize workload for daily run 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to understand and use computer systems and programs 

• Acquire and maintain forklift certification 

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills 

• Ability to communicate information clearly and politely (both verbally and in writing) Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision 

• Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring the work area for safety hazards

• The ability to establish and maintain rapport, interact comfortably, and work well with co-workers
