POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position turns raw ingredients into cleaned, cooked, portioned and blended stand alone items to be used in finished dishes or combined with other preparations into sub and finished recipes. This position requires proper receipt of deliveries, cleaning, dishwashing, trimming, cooking, blending and storage of foods. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE: 

• $16.50-$17.30 per hour, based on relevant experience to the role. 

• 401K with dollar for dollar match up to 4%.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: 

• Assist in ensuring that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. 

• Responsible for preparing ingredients to be used by Line Cooks.  

• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing china, glassware, cups, and silverware used by guests. 

• Clean and sanitize cooking vessels and utensils used by BOH staff. 

• Set up and maintain soak stations for soiled silverware, pre-process plates and other serving utensils, sort and spray glass racks and properly load and balance dishwasher load trays. 

• Complete tasks as assigned, including but not limited to: breaking down boxes for recycling, neatly disposing of trash and recyclables, and keeping kitchen storage areas clean and organized. 

• May be trained and expected to prepare ingredients to be used by Line Cooks.  

• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through routine inspections and by following the Company’s preventative maintenance programs.  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Familiar with basic kitchen/cooking equipment, Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment. 

• Knowledge of food and beverage/restaurant back of the house operations. 

• Knowledge of common ingredients, cooking procedures and safety and sanitation. 

• Minimum six months of food and beverage/restaurant experience. 

• Valid Food Handler Card required. 

• Bilingual a plus
