The opportunity...
Commvault seeks a Security Architect to expand its Security Architecture program.  The security architect will conduct security assessments against a range of scopes, author policies, standards, and guidelines.  They will create and maintain diagrams as needed to visually document existing and proposed infrastructure, data flows and security controls.  They will design security control structures and processes for proposed new infrastructure and services.

What You'll Do...

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operates and evolves existing security architecture assessment process
• Develops and maintains security architecture artifacts (policy, standards, guidelines; processes/procedures)
• Develops and maintains visual diagrams of infrastructure, security controls, technology component interrelationships, data flows etc.
• Researches and remains current with technology and security trends, and applies knowledge to job
• Interface with and maintain relationships with business and technology partners of all levels

 

Who You Are...
Hard Skills/Knowledge

• Must have experience performing security architecture assessments from start to finish
• Must have experience authoring policies, standards or guideline documents
• Must have knowledge and experience with the application of security and risk management frameworks and standards (CIS frameworks and standards, OWASP Top 10, NIST RMF, NIST frameworks and standards, CSA CSMM/CCM)
• Must have knowledge of Zero Trust
• Must have excellent skills with Visio or similar
• Should have knowledge of DevOps, IaC, Cloud, Identity Management, AI

 

Soft Skills

• Ability to work with and communicate with audiences of all technical levels, from experts to non-technical laymen
• Excellent writing skills
• Self-starter & Self-educator
• Advocate and thought leader
• Ability to partner and collaborate

 

Experience

• Must have 8-10 years' experience working in technology or security as an analyst, engineer, and/or architect
• Must have 4-6 years working as a security architecture
• Experience as an Enterprise Architect will be considered if combined with appropriate security experience
• Operational experience in Software Development, CI/CD Pipelines, IAM, Cloud, AI, IT infrastructure, or Network Administration is a bonus

 

Education/Certification

• Must have bachelor’s degree
• Must have CISSP certification, or similar
• Prefer additional certification in a specialization such as Cloud, Application Security, Identity & Access Management

US Pay Range$93,500—$220,800 USD
