Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager. The qualified individual will support a program that will be responsible for supplying personal computers (PCs), including laptops, thin clients, and desktops for an entire federal financial agency. This includes the acquisition, imaging, warehousing, distribution and servicing of the equipment thousands of new employees every year. The client expects the vendor to increase automation and self-service capabilities and reduce the time it takes to introduce new or innovative technology solutions. The Program Manager is responsible for the successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of this major program through subordinate program/project managers and subcontractors, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. This is a Hybrid teleworking position. The qualified candiate must be local to the DC, MD & VA (DMV) area..
What you will do:
- Manages one or more projects or programs, may manage an operating office, supervises professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines, and maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
- Maintains primary relationship with client and fosters timely and accurate communications and reporting.
- Acquires follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and supports new business development by leading major proposals personally, or through subordinate program/project managers.
- Acts as a technical liaison with vendors.
- Trains and supervises personnel.
- Develops Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services.
- Prepares Staffing Plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
- Assigns staff and provides technical direction as necessary to complete task.
- Monitors contract, subcontract, and funding; prepares forecasts of program financial performance.
- Develops and delivers required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports.
- Assists in proposal process and coordinates with Contracts and Pricing Departments when required.
- May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of experience, Master's degree with 8-10 years of experience, Phd with 5-7 years of experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
- 10 years of experience in managing government programs or project level management in IT systems and applications, with supervisory and developmental responsibilities.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), requirements, policies and procedures, cost and schedule estimating, systems disciplines, and commercial practices relating to IT systems development and production.
- Experience in interfacing directly with government designated representatives and supervising various task order activities.
- Must understand the full program life cycle, tactical planning, c structure and management practices.
- Must be able to identify and communicate program risks and recommend mitigation.
- Must have organizational and communication skills for directing team members and reporting status to the customer.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Cetiification
- ITIL certification

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
