Overview

The Bartender at Lapper is a guest-facing role in our vibrant Sports Bar + Kitchen. You’ll be mixing craft cocktails, serving local beers, and delivering an energetic, friendly experience. With games, happy hours, trivia nights, food specials, and lively patio vibes including shuffleboard and cornhole, you’ll help create an atmosphere where guests want to stay for another round. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at speed and with quality, following standard recipes and bar standards.

  • Engage guests at the bar, recommend drinks, promote specials (e.g., beer drafts, happy hour deals, food pairings).

  • Maintain bar cleanliness and stock: restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware.

  • Handle POS transactions, cash or card, ensuring accuracy and speed.

  • Assist in bar setup and breakdown (opening, closing duties).

  • Enforce responsible beverage service rules.

  • Collaborate with servers, hosts, kitchen staff for smooth service flow.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction; respond to feedback professionally.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a bar or restaurant, preferably in casual/upscale casual or sports-bar style environment.

  • Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine; ability to suggest pairings with menu items.

  • Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work fast during busy periods (games, happy hour, trivia nights).

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around frequently throughout entire shift (5-8+ hours).

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30-40 lbs (e.g., cases of liquor, kegs, ice, supplies).

  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting (e.g., reaching for bottles, mixing, garnishes).

  • Manual dexterity to handle glassware, bar tools, and stock light equipment.

  • Able to stay composed in loud, high-energy environments.
