Field Supervisor Opportunity

Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for the position of Field Supervisor with the Applied Sciences and Technology Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.

What You’ll Do
As Field Supervisor, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and support student interns during their clinical field experiences in elementary and ESE classrooms.
• Conduct formal observations in person throughout the internship experience. Collaborate with mentor teachers, TSC faculty, and the Practicum Coordinator to support intern development and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of observations, conferences, and evaluations.
• Conduct pre and post conferences based on the observation schedule of interns.
• Ensure compliance with all state and college policies related to teacher education and clinical experience.
• Must be willing to travel to various school sites within Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties.
• Preference will be given to individuals with experience as a college or university supervisor with interns in an education program.

Work schedule:

• 10-15 hours per week

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in education or elementary education.
• At least three (3) years of elementary education teaching experience.
• A valid Florida teaching license is required.
