Right of Way Manager of Projects

Audubon is currently seeking a Right of Way Manager of Projects to join our team. The Manager of Projects serves as the critical tactical link between the Directors of ROW and the Project Managers. This role is accountable for the overall direction and delivery of multiple project streams, providing high-level oversight, coaching, and strategic coordination. The Manager of Projects ensures that project teams meet consistent standards while scaling the department's operational capacity.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Oversight: Accountable for the direction, implementation, and completion of multiple complex projects, ensuring alignment with Director-level strategies.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Provides active coaching and mentoring to Project Managers (PMs) and Project Administration.
- Resource Management: Identifies resources needed across multiple projects and assigns individual responsibilities to maximize team potential.
- Financial Performance: Analyzes overall project profitability, revenue, margins, and bill rates across the portfolio of managed projects.
- Schedule Performace: Analyzes overall project scheduled tracking across the portfolio of managed projects.
- Stakeholder Interface: Acts as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring specific requests are processed timely and professional relationships are maintained.
- Quality Assurance: Audits the health of projects managed by their staff through regular (bi-weekly) status reviews and quality assurance procedures
- Management of Change: Drives the Management of Change (MOC) philosophy and enforces corresponding procedures across all project teams.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or PMP certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of industry-related experience, with at least 5-7 years in a project management leadership role.
- ROW Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of legal agreements, public records research, and ROW acquisition processes.
- Team Development: Proven ability to organize and develop highly functional teams and instill a sense of project ownership in staff.
