Heaton Eye Associates has been serving East Texas vision needs for more than 40 years, with three locations offering state-of-the-art technology and services, including primary vision care, pediatrics, oculoplastic, glaucoma, cosmetic, and world-class laser surgery. Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Administrator, the Charge Poster is responsible for billing for the ASC and uploading claims to Waystar, claim corrections, creating and batching files, posting unapplied amounts, and posting surgeries.
Certifications/Licensures:
None Required
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
2 years' experience charge coding
Preferred 3 years' experience charge coding-Coding license
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10 Key
- General knowledge of practice management software
- Preferred NextGen PM and Waystar knowledge
- Positive attitude
- Dependable
- Multi-task orientated
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver's license
Performance Standards/Responsibilities:
- Bill out for ASC and upload claims to Waystar
- Correct claims that may reject and re-bill them
- Create and batch files from previous day for all clinics
- Post unapplied
- Post Surgery charges for doctors
- Run reports and make necessary corrections
- Process and file secondary insurance claims
- All other duties as assigned
