Quality Specialist III

Neogen is looking to hire a Quality Specialist III that will be responsible for providing support activities related to the Quality Assurance of Neogen products.  This will include activities related to raw material qualification, shelf life and stability studies, and overall product quality including technical support in product issues or changes, reporting, trending, and nonconforming material approvals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality assurance for assigned products
• Qualify incoming raw materials for use in manufacturing processes
• Assist in the evaluation of product and process changes for impact on quality
• Participate in efforts to improve product quality and process capability
• Assess and validate test methods and performing cross-over studies.
• Conduct and analyze shelf life and stability studies to set and validate product claims
• Organize studies and direct laboratory activities of assigned technicians
• Assure compliance to internal SOPs and external regulations
• Evaluate customer samples and trends to determine necessary actions/improvements
• Help to foster a quality environment & mindset throughout the business
• The applicant will work and interact with other functions (product development, manufacturing, regulatory, technical service, and business)
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent attention to detail, and be process and system oriented.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a biological science discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum one (1) years working in industry in a laboratory, quality, or manufacturing function.
• Experience working with microbiological techniques and applications
• Experience with Microsoft Office
