Sterilization Technician

MCHC's Hillside Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Sterilization Technician to join our team. Duties include:

• Demonstrates knowledge of dental and medical terminology and instruments.
• Documents and maintains accurate sterilization records for Auto claves and Ultrasonic instruments
• Wears PPE effectively, and for long periods of time.
• Performs inspections of instruments for proper functioning use.
• Disposes of Biohazard materials, sharps, and instrument processing solutions.
• Performs daily preparation of compressor.
• Prepares instrument processing solutions.
• Distributes sterile instruments, surface disinfection products, and prepared trays.
• Performs daily instrument processing, hand piece maintenance and sterilization.
• Wipes off counter tops and high-level working areas.
• Performs daily maintenance and spore testing of sterilizers.
• Performs maintenance of the ultrasonic machine 2x a day and monitors testing.
• Collects dirty instruments from all departments for processing.
• Travels to other sites as needed
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and experience in both sterilization and infection control
