Security Staff Manager

The Security Staff Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and oversight of Bethel Church’s security personnel and operations. This includes supervising the whole team, managing schedules across departments and events, ensuring professional standards, implementing security policies, overseeing departmental training and hiring, and maintaining the overall effectiveness, safety, and morale of the team. The role works closely with church departments, event organizers, and external agencies to ensure all gatherings and church functions are safe and appropriately staffed.

Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Salary: $25.00 Per Hour

Top Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all Bethel Security personnel including schedules, time-off approvals, morale, and team accountability.
• Develop and implement security policies, rules, procedures, and operational norms.
• Monitor and address vulnerabilities in security protocols; ensure alignment with Bethel’s safety standards.
• Build, maintain, and distribute the “Be On the LookOut” document
• (BOLO) for individuals trespassed, registered offenders, and service

Requirements

• Agreement with and embodiment of Bethel Church’s beliefs and vision.

• Successfully pass a state and federal background check. Obtain and maintain California BSIS security officer licensing.

• Possess an active driver's license with a clean DMV record.

Recommended

• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement.

• Familiarity with relevant tactical/security training.

• Demonstrated history of high-level interpersonal and communication skills.
