Job Description:
The Physical Security & Protective Services team is responsible for protecting the company's physical assets and interests which include personnel, property/operations, products, brand, and intellectual property (IP). Reporting to the Americas Head of Physical Security the Security Program Manager will work closely with HPE business and functional groups to help deliver cost-effective, pro-active security programs and services in North America. This will encompass physical security, investigations, risk assessments and systems design, contingency planning, travel security, event security, supply chain security, executive protection support and crisis management response. The Security Program Manager leads security-related communications and promotes security awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Leads tactical and operational security delivery for various security programs and resources in North America
- Provides guidance and interpretation about security standards, practices and programs to support regional and global business and security initiatives
- Delivers tailored training and audit programs to facilitate consistent quality program delivery
- Provides event security management for corporate events, primarily in the Americas, to ensure for the safety and security of employees, vendors, partners, customers and guests
- Supports Supply Chain Security in partnership and collaboration with Global Logistics
- Collaborates internally and externally to solve challenging issues and provide solutions related to regional risk mitigation and event management; identify & mitigate threats in accordance with HPE’s workplace violence program
- Oversees provision of investigations within the region or elsewhere as requested by Physical Security & Protective Services Management
- Assesses security exposures and implements programs to address them, influencing stakeholders and clients as required
- Maintain liaison with government, industry, and intelligence professionals
- Responds to security emergencies
Requirements:
- 7+ years security experience that must include corporate experience.
- high technology sector is preferred.
- A mix of law enforcement, military, and intelligence is preferred, but not required
- Experience in Supply Chain Security is preferred, but not required
- Be technology literate to include proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Be willing to travel in support of business assignments - approximately 10%
- Excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify complex security issues and customize, implement/execute innovative processes and solutions.
- Must have investigative experience in a corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in complex situations
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including presentation, reporting and consulting
- Excellent conceptual and critical thinking skills and sound judgment, with strategic orientation and ability to perform tactically, as required
- Able to conduct thorough briefings for large and small groups
- Ability to be onsite at Spring, TX headquarters 4 days a week
Education and Experience:
- BS/BA Degree preferred, but not required. Relevant experience may be substituted for preferred educational background
Knowledge and Skills
- Sound, ethical judgment required
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and teaching
- General ability to use security systems and applications
- Excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify complex security issues and customize, implement/execute innovative processes and solutions
