About the role
Now Hiring: Field Maintenance Manager (Great Lakes Region)
R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Field Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our Great Lakes Midwest region. This role provides regional oversight for 10 terminals, 75 maintenance employees, and 746 power units.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, hire, coach, and manage maintenance staff across multiple locations
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment safe, compliant, and road-ready
- Manage PM performance, down units, and repair timelines to support freight operations
- Ensure shop compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Partner daily with Operations, Breakdown, Safety, and Human Resources teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven maintenance or operations leadership experience
- Strong people-management and communication skills
- Clean driving record (required)
- CDL preferred, but not required
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
