Senior Talent Development and Learning Manager-HR Talent Development & Learning-Mount Sinai Hospital-Full Time-Days

As a Senior Learning and Development Manager in the Division of Talent Development and Learning (TDL), you will lead a group of intelligent, passionate, and collaborative people committed to helping individuals and teams throughout the Health System learn, grow, and achieve their goals through continuous professional development. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CLO to identify the organization's learning needs and subsequently prioritize and lead the implementation of targeted solutions. 
  • Assist with the logistics of course delivery, including scheduling trainers and overseeing the EL course panel, ELLi, and the CEU process.
  • Manage career pathway programs' logistical and content aspects from inception to completion, including scheduling, enrollment management, content creation, and evaluation.
  • Lead special programs, including designing curriculums aligned with health system needs, operationalizing program administration, and maintaining ongoing delivery.
  • Oversee the design and production of reports and dashboards to track key metrics for courses, career pathway programs, and special initiatives. Analyze program data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in administration, course content, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with trainers to design and conduct needs assessments across various departments and work units. Analyze the data collection, identify critical skill and knowledge gaps, and recommend appropriate interventions. 
  • Spearheaded workgroups tasked with designing and implementing programs tailored to support the health system’s imperatives by facilitating discussions and ensuring collaborative decision-making. 
  • Oversee the administration of assessments and certifications, including operationalizing the process, managing resources, reviewing contracts, managing vendor relationships, tracking usage, and ensuring deliverables are met. 
  • Lead a team of Learning and Development professionals, providing coaching and mentorship to foster their growth and increase engagement.
  • Design and facilitate EL courses, retreats, and other customized interventions. 
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in adult learning theory, L&D best practices, and data analytics.
  • Serve as a role model for behaviors consistent with the health system’s leadership model. 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Learning and Development, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with developing and implementing organizational development interventions to support culture change.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a solid attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to command a room.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $115,000.00 - $165,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
