We’re looking for a Senior Accountant: Treasury at an exciting time - we’ve successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $70m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 100% YoY.

WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN

Cash is the singular, most important focus of the business, and so, this role is pivotal to the success of the business. This is a key hire within our finance team.

As the Senior Accountant: Treasury, you will play a critical role in ensuring that cash management processes are in place, that we have reliable cash reporting and forecasting in place so that the business has a transparent view of cash balances and requirements, that funding processes are managed efficiently, and ensuring that we are compliant with the requirements of our funding providers.

This is a hybrid position that will require in-office presence at our Atlanta HQ 3 days per week.

As a scaleup business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:

  • Management of daily cash operations and monitoring cash positions across multiple entities and bank accounts.
  • Weekly cash reporting, highlighting weekly cash movements compared to Forecast/Plan and drivers of variances, demonstrating a deep understanding of cash movements.
  • Production of a 13 week cash flow forecast, refreshed every week, and providing analysis to ensure optimal liquidity.
  • Oversight and management of funding arrangements, ensuring processes are run efficiently and that we are operating compliantly with funding agreements.
  • Working with funding providers (external parties) to provide the necessary reporting, data, and documentation to support funding.
  • Establish debt reporting to ensure there is transparency of debt levels across the various funding arrangements.
  • Treasury management, ensuring our cash reserves are placed in the right accounts to optimize interest receivable.
  • Working with the accounts team to ensure an efficient month-end close.

THE TOP 5 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE

  1. A robust 13-week cash flow forecast process is in place and communicated weekly to the business.
  2. Weekly cash reporting is in place, providing clarity on cash movements and the reasons for variances to Forecast/Plan.
  3. Strong relationships are built with funding partners (external parties) - we are meeting their process, control, and reporting requirements.
  4. Internal processes are established with clear accountability within the team, ensuring all required data and documentation is sent to funding partners in a timely manner.
  5. Debt reporting is in place, providing the necessary level of insight to the leadership team.

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it's your first role or your fifth role, we believe everyone can add value, learn, and grow. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:

  • Experience of creating and managing 13 week cash flow forecasts
  • Proven ability in managing reporting cycles, including the timely and accurate delivery of reporting, and communication in a clear and succinct way.
  • Strong skills in supporting or leading budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
