Pharmacy | Pharmaceutics and PharmacologyThe visiting scholar will apply their expertise in basic and translational science of antibody-drug conjugates to support research aimed at understanding immunotherapy resistance mechanisms. The position will require in vitro studies utilizing cell and cell-free assays and in vivo experiments with murine models of cancer. Various laboratory techniques and instrumentation will be utilized, and therefore significant hands-on experience with microscopy, flow cytometry, and other imaging techniques, along with knowledge and significant experience with basic biomedical research techniques, including cloning, quantitative and qualitative measurement of proteins, DNA, RNA, and other biomolecules. The successful applicant will be self-directed and capable of working independently within the research laboratory environment and leading significant portions of research projects. The visiting scholar will also directly contribute to manuscript preparation and development of grant proposals, as well as support for training of other lab members and general laboratory maintenance.
Required Experience: PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a biomedical field; 10 years experience working in a research laboratory environment and focused on cancer biology and anti-cancer therapies
Desired Experience: Postdoctoral training in basic and translational research cancer research; 15 years experience beyond PhD degree in a biomedical research field focused on cancer biology and drug therapy.
