Position Summary

As the Materials Associate Manager, you will be able to train and guide the talents of the OKC’s Materials Department personnel. The key to success is the training and development of the Materials team. You will be able to provide the highest quality ingredients at the lowest possible price through cost delivered to the customer at the time of production needs in an environment of constant volatile change.

You will execute purchasing decisions and initiate new ideas to provide lower costs through improved logistics, supplier partnerships, and energy procurement. You will also foster a safe work environment, ensure all quality standards are met, and is responsible for the proper management of day-to-day operational and environmental issues.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage bulk rail ingredients along with unloading inventory positions.
• Manage and Support the Rail Demurrage and Truck Detention process
• Initiate capital improvement projects that enhance profitability and efficiency with Materials Working Capital
• Utilize and Coordinate bin space of inventory and manage inventory amounts ordered
• Provide support to the Materials team with different projects, inventory purchases, and team coordination
• Collaborate, secure, and train qualified individuals for management trainees
• Coordinate and provide cross-functional training throughout the Materials and Unloading processes
• All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 4+ years of experience in the Materials, Logistics, Purchasing, Manufacturing, or related environment

OR

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in the Materials, Logistics, Purchasing, Manufacturing, or related environment.
